OPINION
It is no shock that these Tottenham fans are gutted for Amos because the midfielder showed in pre-season that he has immense potential and could be called up by Mauricio Pochettino on the occasion this season. The 21-year-old impressed against Barcelona in the summer and many would have thought he’d be a regular in the first team after that. He did get his senior Spurs debut against Newcastle in August, but since then he hasn’t played for the club and has had to make do in the Under-23s. Hopefully this setback doesn’t have a massive impact on Amos’ career because he is bound to become a Premier League player in the future if he gets the chance to shine. Not many players impress versus Barca and slip into obscurity. Like these Tottenham fans, everyone will be wishing Amos gets well soon enough and hopefully he returns to fitness sooner than what is currently being stated.
