Australia cantered to a 4-0 win against Kuwait in an international friendly tonight and fans were impressed with what they saw from Celtic’s Tom Rogic.

It was Australia’s first match under new manager Graham Arnold and their first game since the World Cup over the summer.

The Soceroos are preparing to defend the Asian Cup in January 2019 in UAE and saw a friendly in Kuwait City as good preparation.

Rogic started the game and was lively from the off, registering his first shot on target in just the fourth minute, and was rewarded with his goal, and Australia’s third of the game, in the 82nd minute.

He’s also added corners to his international repertoire, as noted by a few fans tonight, with one wondering whether that would be a good move for Celtic too.

Here are the best reactions to his performance this evening:

OPINION

An easy win for Australia under their new manager and a good game for Tom Rogic. One fan said he worked on a completely different plane while another said it was too easy for him – and that about summed up Kuwait… they weren’t up to much. Celtic fans had another big reason to tune into the game tonight though – Daniel Arzani, who made a 25-minute appearance for his country. He looked good too and it might beg the question as to why he hasn’t been anywhere near the Celtic first-team yet. Surely he’s good enough for a chance under Brendan Rodgers? Celtic play Hibs on Saturday and fans will be glad to have seen Rogic get through the game after his recent fitness issues. Celtic fans might not have been too happy to see Rogic play 90 minutes in that sort of heat though.
