Many players who star for Wolverhampton Wanderers have thoroughly impressed so far this season – and winger Helder Costa should be no different.

The 24-year-old ace has been one of Wolves’ standout players so far, and he has been central to their creative play that has entertained so many.

Wolves have been very effective in attack, and that is largely down to the talent that Costa possesses – and at 24, he has the potential to offer much more than he has already.

Costa started for Portugal in their friendly against Scotland, a game which they won 3-1 – and Costa contribued to the score line with his first international goal.

He has proved that he is absolutely undroppable for Wolves after blowing Scotland away – as it would just be a disaster if he did not feature for them.

How could Nuno Espirito Santo possibly exclude him from the first team now? He is just remarkable in terms of talent and technical ability.

Many will question why a player with his type of talent is starring for a newly-promoted club like Wolves – at the moment, fans will just be counting their lucky stars that they have a player like him on the books.

Bigger clubs will no doubt be sniffing around his services, so Wolves must pull out all of the stops to make sure that he does not depart.

He has helped Wolves adjust to life in the Premier League like a duck to water – but he must maintain this form for his club when matches resume.

There is no point in churning out outstanding performances for Portugal, but not being able to replicate the same for Wolves.

Fans will have their fingers crossed that it does happen – and given that Costa will be feeling confident after this display, it would not be surprising to see him hit the ground running in Wolves’ next clash.

However this performance has just proved how undroppable he is – and how crucial he will be to his side’s success this season.
