Tottenham have scouted PSV Eindhoven winger Hirving Lozano, according to London.Live.

The report claims that the player is valued at £25million by PSV who are prepared for bids for the player in the summer.

He impressed at the World Cup finals for Mexico – scoring the only goal of the game in the 1-0 win against Germany– and was linked with Barcelona over the summer but a move didn’t materialise.

Good move for Tottenham?

Lozano is a top player and Tottenham fans will have a good chance to see  him up close and personal as their side is due to play them twice in the Champions League. And, after results against Barcelona and Inter Milan, Spurs will need to win both games so will be hoping Lozano isn’t in top form. Lozano has started the season well though – seven goals in 12 games across all competitions, and that’s given him an impressive record of 26 in 46 total games for PSV. Tottenham need new players and Lozano could be a really good buy. At 23 he’s in the prime of his career and looks like a Pochettino player.

Likely to happen?

Lozano will attract a lot of attention and was linked with Barcelona over the summer. A lot will depend on where the player sees his next move, but we think Tottenham would be the perfect fit. Barcelona would be tempting but you don’t want to run the risk of getting lost there. Tottenham is a big step up from PSV and that’s what Lozano needs now.
