Mauricio Pochettino has got some tough decisions to make ahead of his Carabao Cup tie against West Ham on Wednesday night.

A fixture pile-up means the London derby comes just two days after the tough Premier League game against Man City on Monday night.

And then Spurs play again on Saturday evening, in the 7.45pm kick off against Wolves, before a must-win Champions League game against PSV the following Tuesday.

You would imagine that Pochettino is fuming and that he put put a severely weakened team for the cup clash against West Ham.

But he’ll know in his heart-of-hearts that the Carabao Cup represents his most realistic shot at a trophy this season and he’ll want to win the game.

He’s also got a squad that’s capable of dealing with the fixtures and in Oliver Skipp, a youngster who’s ready to make the step up and help his side out.

Skipp made the bench for the game against Barcelona in the Champions League and should be drafted in to give the first-choice Tottenham midfielders a rest.

Fernando Llorente, hardly seen this season, will surely get the chance to lead the line.

And Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen, recently returned from injury, can get some much-needed minutes and give this Tottenham side the killer edge.

In defence, Pochettino can call on Kyle Walker-Peters to deputise at left-back, with Serge Aurier coming in at right-back to give Ben Davies and Kieran Trippier a much-needed rest.

Paulo Gazzaniga should get the gloves after making the bench for the Man City game.

Here is the team we expect Pochettino to put out against West Ham on Wednesday:
