A section of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to slate the performance of Richarlison in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Toffees took on Palace at Goodison Park, with summer signing Andre Gomes being handed his Premier League debut – but Everton fans were far from pleased with how one of their key players performed after he scuppered a number of opportunities.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun scored the victory in the last five minutes after a superb penalty save from Jordan Pickford earlier on.
Some comments from the supporters included “having one of those days”, “he is greedy” and “worst game for us”.

Richarlison is really struggling to move the ball along quickly enough when Everton have a break, which has been often.

Richarlison could be the greediest player I’ve seen for a while, the amount of times he’s given that ball away or been caught in possession when he’s had options either side is ridiculous.

OPINION
It is no wonder the Everton fans have taken to Twitter to pan the performance of Richarlison against Palace – he was woefully below the standard that he is usually at. He just looks a shadow of the player that he has been already this season, and the fact that he has been wasting a number of good opportunities is not going to do him any favours with the Everton faithful. If he continues to do that, then he will get in their bad books very quickly indeed. One fan even pointed out that this game was the worst he had seen Richarlison perform – and it is hard not to agree with him. Somebody with his type of price tag should not be bowing into the pressure – if anything, he should be thriving on it. Overall, it is clear that the Everton fans want him to be less greedy from now on – as it is just proving to be more of a hinderance than anything.
