Seeming as Newcastle United midfielder Kenedy was rather impressive when he was on loan from Chelsea last year, you would be forgiven for saying that he was capable of replicating that form this season.
However, they could not be further from the truth, as the £25,000-a-week [Spotrac] player does not look like he is up to playing for Rafa Benitez at the moment.
Gone is the player who many have compared to some of the best in the past, who has been replaced with someone who looks like they have not kicked a football before.
So the natural question many United supporters will be asking themselves is – where has Kenedy gone?
At this rate, he may as well not even be a player at the club – and for this reason, the Magpies must be ruthless and tear up his loan contract as soon as possible.
If he cannot churn out the performances that he is expected to, why should the likes of Benitez even give him the time of day?
The demise of the young Brazilian remains to be seen, and if he wants to be considered by Chelsea when he does return from his temporary spell, then he is not going the right way about it.
His passing has been declining as the weeks go by, and the ability to run through defenders is basically dead and gone.
Kenedy is way off the pace, even for a side that is at the bottom of the Premier League – and that is really saying something.
Newcastle have no choice but to offload the midfielder off the books, because at the moment, he is seriously hampering any progress they are making.
His loan deal must be ripped up in January, as it looks like he is not going to get any better for the Magpies and is simply a waste of a wage.
