A section of Tottenham fans took to Twitter to lay into Moussa Sissoko for his first-half performance against West Ham on Saturday.
The France international kept his place in the Spurs line-up despite the availability after injury of Mousa Dembele and Christian Eriksen, who both started on the bench.
But supporters were very critical of Sissoko’s opening period at the London Stadium even though their side were 1-0 up at the break.

COMMENTARY:
Ever since joining Tottenham from Everton in the summer of 2016 for a near-£30million fee in the summer of 2016, Sissoko has been a scapegoat for fans who believe he offers neither control in midfield or the quality required of a player in one of the Premier League’s strongest teams. Mauricio Pochettino still believes in the value of the former Newcastle United man, and selected him in the starting XI for the London derby despite the availability of star men Dembele and Eriksen. The duo were absent when Sissoko made his comeback in the 1-0 win against Cardiff before the international break, which was a scrappy performance. He made his third league start of the season against the Hammers, as Pochettino matched the home side by selecting a midfield trio that combined the guile of Harry Winks with the energy and physicality of 6ft-plus big hitters Eric Dier and Sissoko. To the Frenchman’s credit, he was better than what his critics might claim and set up the opener for Erik Lamela.

Harry Winks really is a class act ?? The contrast of him next to Sissoko – who looks uncomfortable whenever he’s on the ball – is so pronounced

Can never understand why Sissoko is still at Spurs. And Aurier. How long are we going to keep and play them? #LevyPlease
