Everton secured a second consecutive victory in the Premier League with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Leicester City at the weekend to head into the international break on a high.

The Toffees look to be steadily hitting their stride under new boss Marco Silva after a lacklustre start to the campaign, currently sitting in 11th place with 12 points from their first eight games.

There are still some concerns over certain areas of the pitch for the Blues, who still look to be a way behind the top six sides in the division.

However, they are also set to welcome back three players after the international break in a huge triple boost for the club, and there is one ace in particular who could act as a catalyst for their season.

As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Andre Gomes, Seamus Coleman and Yerry Mina are all set to return after this two-week hiatus, and it is the former who may be the player to provide a spark for the Toffees this season.

The Barcelona loanee has struggled to make an impact in club football over the past season or so, with his time at the Nou Camp spent mostly on the bench.

However, cast your mind back to before his move to Barcelona, and Gomes was one of the standout players in the whole of La Liga for Valencia.

His passing ability is second-to-none, and his playmaking abilities are seriously exciting for Everton, who will be welcoming a world-class operator into the fold.

Their attack has already undergone a huge transformation so far this season under Silva, and the addition of the 25-year-old pass master will take that transformation to another level.

Adding him into that midfield alongside Idrissa Gueye will be a huge statement, with his creative abilities providing countless new possibilities going forward.

Obviously it may take some time for Gomes to get up to speed after his lay-off and his lack of experience in English football, but once that happens, then Everton fans will be in for a treat – this will be the catalyst to propel the Toffees into a fight for a place in the Premier League’s top six.
