Everton have told striker Oumar Niasse he can leave the club in January amid interest from Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray, according to Turkish Football

The Turkish outlet report that Galatasaray have made an enquiry to the Toffees about bringing in the Senegal international in the January window.

Turkish Football claim that a formal offer has not yet been made for the 28-year-old forward, who is just one of multiple targets for the Champions League club.

Niasse has made six first-team appearances this season for Everton.

Good move for Everton?

Yes.

Niasse is quite obviously not a part of Marco Silva’s long-term plans at Goodison Park, with the striker missing out on several matchday squads recently.

There is little point in keeping him around for any longer than needed, with that being a situation that is far from ideal for both player and club.

A move to Galatasaray, whether on loan or permanent, would be a good move for all involved.

Likely to happen?

If Galatasaray do end up making an offer, then yes.

There is no reason for Niasse to stick around, and now that the club have given him permission to leave, there is nothing stopping that happening.

It now just comes down to whether the Turkish side want him and are willing to make a reasonable offer.
