Everton welcome Crystal Palace to Goodison Park on Sunday as the Premier League returns after the international break, and Marco Silva must make two changes to his starting XI.

The Toffees are coming in on the back of a 2-1 win over Leicester City which put them on 12 points from their first eight games of the season under Silva.

Opponents Palace have not fared so well recently with just one win in their last four games, with Roy Hodgson’s side having accrued just seven points from their eight matches.

Silva must try and stick with the majority of the side which beat the Foxes before the break, but make two key changes to guarantee victory over the Eagles.

In goal, Jordan Pickford must start as normal.

In defence, talisman Seamus Coleman must come back in at right-back for Jonjoe Kenny, with Michael Keane, Kurt Zouma and Lucas Digne all retaining their places.

In midfield, summer signing Andre Gomes must be given his debut in place of Idrissa Gueye, who sustained an injury playing for Senegal over the break, with Tom Davies retaining his place alongside.

In attack, Theo Walcott, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bernard must all be retained, with Richarlison taking up the lone striker role, as he did against Leicester.

This is a side which has more than enough to rip Palace to shreds if Silva goes with it, with Gomes’ introduction an exciting one for the Toffees.
