Man United beat Everton 2-1 at Old Trafford but it wasn’t the most convincing win and fans were angered by the display from star striker Romalu Lukaku.
Lukaku started on the bench but came on in the 65th minute fro Marcus Rashford, who wasn’t having his best day in red either.
However, many Man United fans think that Lukaku was even worse when he came on and he missed a glorious chance to put the game out of reach, completely fluffing a free header in the Everton box.
COMMENTARY
Many Man United fans took to Twitter to berate Lukaku after Jose Mourinho brought him on the in the Everton game on Sunday. Some think that the team is better off without him and others think Rashford is the man to lead the line. Lukaku is definitely in a run of really poor form. He hasn’t scored in nine games now and never looked comfortable at Old Trafford on Sunday, missing a free header that really got the United fans riled up. One fan said that he was terrible and had been “for the last five weeks”. He went on to say it was no wonder Rashford hasn’t been scoring if he’s been learning off Lukaku. United secured the three points, which is the mot important thing, but it was no thanks to Lukaku and it will be interesting to see if Mourinho keeps him on the bench for the next game. Good game overall, few key points:
– Lukaku is very lazy and should’ve been napping that free header
– Martial in good form but let’s not forget the shocking 1 on 1
– Certain parts of OT are loud other parts were dead.
