Kemar Roofe got back to scoring ways instantly with Leeds on his return from injury and fans are absolutely delighted.
Roofe was named in the starting XI for the Under-23s game against Burnley and played 70 minutes before being subbed off.
He scored in the 58th minute to make it 2-0 to the home side but they ended up being pegged back by a resolute Burnley side with the final score of 2-2.
Roofe wasn’t the only first-team player back from injury today, with defender Gaetano Berardi also playing – he made the full 90 minutes and scored the first goal of the game.
It means Roofe and Berardi should be fit to play in the Championship game against Blackburn next weekend, and fans are delighted.
Here are the best reactions to Roofe’s comeback display for the Under-23s:

Clarke is class. Roofe looking sharp considering he’s been out for a while. Berardi solid and we generally look good…however, I hate to say it but what is the point of Forshaw? Looks distinctly average in an u21s game. Whatever the question might be…. he is not the answer ?????

OPINION
Burnley must have really thought they were up against it today as they found themselves lining up at Elland Road against a number of Leeds first-team players. Adam Forhsaw, Jamal Blackman, Kemar Roofe, Gaetano Berardi and Lewis Baker all played today, but Burnley managed to stage an unlikely comeback to leave the game all square at 2-2 after 90 minutes. Fair play to them for that. The result is obviously important but more so was getting the returning players through the game without suffering any reactions to their injuries. They’re needed back by Marcelo Bielsa. Ironically, both Roofe and Berardi came through unharmed, both putting in long shifts today, but centre-back Connor Shaughnessy picked up an injury in warm-up. He’s been on the bench for Bielsa this season, playing in the EFL Cup, and fans will be hoping it’s nothing too serious. Once the international break is over, all eyes will be back on the Championship, with Leeds facing Blackburn next Saturday.
