Jack Harrison has enjoyed a solid start to his loan spell at Leeds United after he joined the Yorkshire giants on a temporary deal from Manchester City in the summer.

It was a deal that likely came about due to the solid relationship that Marcelo Bielsa has with Pep Guardiola, otherwise there was a very good chance that the 21-year-old could have headed to Pride Park to reunite with his old New York City team-mate Frank Lampard.

The Derby County manager was raving about Harrison after the duo combined well together in the MLS, with the Chelsea legend tipping the attacker to have a successful career in an interview last year.

“I speak to Jack all the time,” Lampard told MLSsoccer.com in 2017. “I think there a lot of big things to come from Jack. I like him, he’s a great lad, great ability.”

Leeds fans are now baring witness as to why Lampard was such a big fan of Harrison.

The England Under-21 international has made 12 impressive appearances across all competitions for the Whites and scored his first senior goal in English football to earn a 1-1 draw with Millwall at the New Den last month.

Without Harrison, Bielsa would be in a bit of a mire as well at the moment due to injuries suffered by Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez, who have left the Leeds attack down to the bare bones.

It is still only October and Harrison has a lot of time to continue impressing but judging by the way he is playing at the moment, the Man City loanee is going to continue proving Lampard right every time he takes to the pitch at Elland Road.
