A section of Everton fans on Twitter were left blown away on Tuesday after Kieran Dowell scored a stunner in England Under-21s’ 2-0 win against Scotland.
Dowell, 21, wrapped up a win for the Young Lions with a spectacular finish from the edge of the box in stoppage time after Reiss Nelson has earlier given England the lead.
Some Blues fans were in awe of the attacking midfielder’s finish, with one telling him to “take a bow” after his goal.

Dowell really is a special young talent and the reaction from these Everton fans just shows how much he is loved by the Goodison Park faithful, Unfortunately, Marco Silva has not given Dowell many chances this season despite him impressing on loan at Nottingham Forest last term. Since returning to Goodison Park, the 21-year-old has made just two first team appearances, with both of them coming in the Carabao Cup against Rotherham and Southampton. Dowell simply is not going to improve unless he is playing regularly, even if it is just 20-odd minutes off the bench in every other Premier League game. If that does not change between now and January, Dowell should consider asking Silva and Marcel Brands to let him go out on loan. There are bound to be top Championship clubs willing to take Dowell on a temporary deal until the end of the season.
