There is one thing that the West Brom fans certainly cannot complain about this season – their prolific attack.

The Baggies have scored more than any other side in the Championship last season, with Reading their latest victims as they netted four more on the way to a 4-1 victory.

One man who has played an integral role in the club’s attacking fortunes has been attacking midfielder Harvey Barnes, the Leicester loanee dazzling with his performances when it comes to both supporting his fellow forwards as well as scoring goals of his own.

A mainstay in the starting XI, Barnes helps the Baggies tick, but his focus appears to be slipping to what is going on behind him rather than in the opposition defence.

He told the Express and Star: “At the minute, a lot of our chances are going in which is great,” he said. “I think we need to keep tight at the back.

“It will be nice to keep a few clean sheets but that’s starts from the front as well, pressing hard to stop them playing out. It is all good scoring three or four goals at the minute but we are not going to do that every week.”

While it is good to see Barnes taking an interest in the rest of his team, he really should be having a one track mind with a focus on setting up and scoring goals – and it is time for Moore to ensure he knows his duties.

Having the young talent thinking about the defence is only going to see his own performance falter, and if he loses his cutting edge, the rest of the forward line suffers.

Yes, press from the front but remember why you are in the team – if your side concedes, it is up to you to make sure you get back to level pegging.

Moore just needs to remind the loan starlet he is in the side to continue blasting anyone and everyone aside with his and his teammates’ attacking flair – and nothing should allow him to get distracted.
