West Bromwich Albion welcome Derby County to the Hawthorns on Wednesday in the Championship, and Darren Moore must make two key changes to his starting XI if he wants to bounce back after their weekend loss.

The Baggies fell to a 1-0 defeat by Wigan at the DW Stadium on Saturday, with Josh Windass scoring the only goal of the game with a neat low finish.

Opponents Derby are coming in on the back of a brilliant 2-1 win over then-leaders Sheffield United, with Craig Bryson and Jack Marriott on target.

If he wants to secure the three points in this one then Moore must make two important changes to his side which failed to break down a resolute Wigan defence.

In goal, Sam Johnstone must start as normal.

In defence, a back three of Craig Dawson, Ahmed Hegazy and Kyle Bartley must remain in place.

At wing-back comes the first change, with hopeless summer signing Tyrone Mears axed in favour of the attacking Matt Phillips on the right, while Kieran Gibbs retains his place on the left.

In the centre of the park, Jake Livermore must keep his place but Chris Brunt must be dropped in favour of 6ft 1in youngster Sam Field [Transfermarkt], who should be able to create more chances going forward. This would be a rare start for Field, who has played just five times in all competitions this season.

The attacking trio of Dwight Gayle, Jay Rodriguez and Harvey Barnes are a given, with all three in fantastic form this season.

This is a West Brom side which should have enough to overcome Derby on Wednesday, with the additions of Phillips and Field giving them more bite in attack.
