Ryan Edmondson has been knocking on the Leeds first-team door for a while now and his hat-trick today for the Under-23s had fans flocking onto Twitter again.
After going behind in the Professional Development League game on Friday afternoon, Leeds turned on the quality and ended up cantering to a 4-1 win.
Edmondson got three of the goals and Sam Dalby got the other on Friday and although the 79 minutes he put in today means Edmondson is unlikely to play for Marcelo Bielsa tomorrow, fans are desperate for him to get more game-time after his two cameo appearances to date.
Here are the best reactions from excited Leeds fans about their future star:

OPINION
Edmondson has been a fairly regular fixture on the Leeds bench this season and got on the pitch for 19 minutes against Birmingham. What he really needs is a big break like Bailey Peacock-Farrell enjoyed last season. There’s a lot of variance in the careers of strikers. If Edmondson came on and got a big chance there’s a good chance of him finishing it. If he proves he can score for the first-team he’ll get more chances. Building confidence and momentum is key for players like this. At the moment all that Edmondson can do is keep calm and carry on, to borrow a rather cliched expression. Bielsa watches the Under-23s whenever possible and if he wasn’t there today he’ll certainly be watching the hat-trick back later on. That can only do the 17-year-old a power of good. Bielsa has said that age is no barrier to the first-team, which is great, but you can expose youngsters too soon, and we like how Edmondson is being trickled through to the first-team at the moment. We think he could get his big chance next season.
