A number of Leeds United fans have been left in awe at the performance of winger Pablo Hernandez after his starring role against Ipswich Town on Wednesday night.

The Spaniard was named among the starting XI for the visit of the Tractor Boys and made an immediate impact in the first half, delivering a sumptuous cross from the right wing which was met by the head of Kemar Roofe to give the Whites a 1-0 lead at half time, while Liam Cooper made it two in the second 45 minutes.

The supporters were left beaming over the display from the Elland Road favourite, with many turning to Twitter to highlight just how much they missed him during his recent injury absence.

This is Futbol has gathered a selection of the fans’ tweets.

COMMENTARY

Leeds fans absolutely love Hernandez for his talents in attack and it was clear to see why they were left raving over him once again on Wednesday. His quality can be a cut above when he is on his game and he showed that against Ipswich, not only with his cross for Roofe – which left the striker a chance which was harder to miss than to hit the back of the net with – but with his overall play. He was key in distributing balls in and around the final third, ensuring that the Whites remained on the front foot throughout, and it was clear to see from previous performances just what Marcelo Bielsa’s men had been missing with him out through injury. Quality like this win not only games but titles, and Hernandez, and everyone at Elland Road, will be hoping he keeps it up until the end of the season.
