Leeds were hit with some shock news on Tuesday as the FA confirmed a one-match ban for Pontus Jansson after his post-match interview following the Brentford game on October 6.

His wife had just given birth and Jansson was on his way back to England when he heard the news.

He will play no part in the game tonight against Ipswich – a game that Leeds must win after a run of bad form has seen them drop down the table.

Talking in his pre-match press conference, Bielsa said that returning player Pablo Hernandez would probably start and that 21-year-old Jack Harrison was back from injury, but Barry Douglas would miss out.

That leaves the manager with a conundrum at left-back and he has two clear options.

The first is to bring Tom Pearce in, a natural left-back who broke into the first-team last year.

However, he’s only played in the EFL Cup this season under Bielsa and we don’t think he’ll bring him in tonight.

The second option is more attacking but it makes total sense against a struggling Ipswich side.

It means dropping Ezgjan Alioski back to left-back, where he often plays for Macedonia. Hernandez could start on the left with Harrison on the right. Roofe would lead the line and Gaetano Berardi would deputise at centre-back.

This is the starting XI we expect manager Marcelo Bielsa to put out given the latest team news:
