Marcelo Bielsa likes to do things his way at Leeds and that means naming an unchanged line-up wherever possible.

However, after their second league defeat of the season, after which Bielsa said it was a “bad moment” for Leeds, it’s time for a radical change.

West Brom also lost at the top of the table so thankfully the damage was minimal. Leeds are only two points off the top of the table but they’re also just five points ahead of Aston Villa in 13th.

They can’t afford another slip. They’ve taken just nine points from the last 21 after a really fast start to the season and Leeds fans won’t need anyone to remind them what happened under Thomas Christiansen last season.

There’s a feeling that things are different under Bielsa but three are desperately needed at Elland Road on Wednesday.

The player who can make a difference is Jack Clarke.

The 17-year-old is getting his first taste of the first-team this season, with 34 minutes across two appearances off the bench, against Brentford and Brighton.

He’s not scored but he’s looked sharp when he’s come on and offers something different on the left wing.

And Bielsa acknowledged the impact that Clarke had on the game on Saturday, saying after the game that he had a “positive influence”.

Now, we think it’s time for him to get his first start to see what he can do. It would be out of character for Bielsa but a successful manager can effect the key change a team needs to get out of a rut, and we truly believe Clarke could be the key that unlocks this Leeds side from its current malaise.

He’s ready to explode and Ipswich are the team he can finally make his mark against.
