Leeds United have never made a more pointless signing that Ouasim Bouy.

Since director of football Victor Orta snapped him up on a free transfer last year, the 25-year-old has failed to make a single appearance for the Whites and has not even managed to get himself on the bench.

When the ex-Juventus midfielder was signed last summer, he was instantly loaned out to Cultural Leonesa in the Spanish second-tier, where he played just four times before his temporary deal was terminated earlier than scheduled.

Bouy spent the second half of the season at Elland Road, failing to impress both Thomas Christiansen and Paul Heckingbottom, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The midfielder is now on loan at PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands and it is understood that the Eredivise club have agreed to cover 100 per cent of his wage for the duration of his temporary agreement.

It is simply baffling that PEC agreed to that, especially as Bouy has made just one 37-minute-long appearance for the first team since his move on August 24.

Every other game that PEC have played, Bouy has been an unused substitute.

If he is not good enough for Cultural Leonesa or PEC, then he is never going to be anywhere near good enough for Leeds United and it is surely guaranteed that he will exit Elland Road at some point in 2019.

If he stays in England, there may be a League Two or National League side willing to take him on because that looks like Bouys standard at the moment.

There is no way that Marcelo Bielsa will want deadwood like him remaining in the squad and you can expect the midfielder to be a number of other outcasts that are offloaded next year – especially if Leeds get into the Premier League.
