A section of Sheffield Wednesday fans have taken to Twitter to blast midfielder Adam Reach for his performance in the 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
Wednesday were subjected to a defeat thanks to goals from Forest’s Joao Carvalho and Lewis Grabban, with Steven Fletcher grabbing a consolation to spare the team’s blushes yesterday evening.
The two teams are now level in the Championship with 11 points a piece, with Forest ahead of their opponents in 11th.
Many supporters have laid into the 25-year-old, with some comments including “doesn’t look right at all”, “absolute waste of space” and “brings nothing.”
This is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets below:
Bannan looked very tired tonight – though he was well shackled by Forest who obviously pinpointed him as the danger man
Adam Reach was awful. Constantly neshes tackles and dreadful on the ball. Lacking confidence. Not sure where he was supposed to be playing tonight#swfc

Anyone that thinks Adam Reach does enough to warrant a 5 million pound fee is deluded. #swfc

OPINION
It seems like many Sheffield Wednesday fans appear to be in agreement that Adam Reach was not at his best last night, and it is hard not to agree with them. He did not look in form whatsoever, and he looked like he was more of a spectator than a player on the field. This has disappointed the fans, especially as it has helped them achieve a negative result. As one fan said, any one who thinks that Reach is worth £5 million must be “deluded” if this match was anything to go by. Based on this display, he is not likely to cement his place in the first team for much longer – and it looks like fans do not want him to either. It is easy to deduce from these tweets that Reach was a liability on the pitch, and that is obviously the type of player that many of them do not want hanging around the first team for too much longer.
