A section of Leeds United fans took to Twitter to hail Mateusz Klich’s transformation into a Championship star after his stunning equaliser in Friday’s 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday.
The Poland international, 28, scored a brilliant long-range equaliser for United to rescue a point at Hillsborough and maintain the team’s place at the top of the league.
Many Leeds supporters on social media can’t believe the transformation of Klich under manager Marcelo Bielsa.

COMMENTARY:
United supporters have been drooling over Klich like never before after his magnificent curling shot ensured Leeds got the very least they deserved from a match they totally dominated. It was the midfielder’s fourth goal of the season and further emphasised why he has become a key player since Bielsa took charge. Few expected the 28-year-old to survive the summer cull following a wretched first season in which he was frozen out by ex-boss Thomas Christiansen before being loaned out back to the Dutch Eredivsie in the January window. Many claimed Klich couldn’t cope with the brutal demands of the Championship. Fitter, lighter and more dynamic than ever before, Klich’s body has changed under Bielsa’s punishing regime and so have his performances. The more attack minded of the Leeds central midfielders has been outstanding so far and deservedly started all 10 league matches. Quite a transformation from a player frequently overlooked in favour of Eunan O’Kane 12 months.
Klich my fav player. Such a difference from last season.

Klich looked played like Platini tonight. He was immense – most complete midfielder we’ve had since the days of Bakke and Bowyer. Always has time, does the simple things well, allows others to find space and scores. Easily MOTM tonight.

Klich was by far the best player on the pitch. Feels like 2 points dropped to me

Klich is a joy to watch. At this level at least, he looks like the complete midfielder. Goals, combative, classy, a turn of pace, a good eye for a pass and football brain. Must've pissed off Christiansen something rotten.

Also, controversial opinion – Klich is a better footballer than Saiz. The man is absolute quality. What a baller. Favourite Leeds player by far. #LUFC #MOT #ALAW

Klich is probably the second biggest story to come out of #lufc this season behind Bielsa. What a turnaround it's been! Looked gone only months ago. Now an integral part of the midfield. https://t.co/7Eb6Vvb4sH
