Wolves have tabled a bid worth £700,000 for Ghana international Edwin Gyasi, according to Football Ghana.

The Ghanaian news outlet claims that CSKA Sofia are likely to reject the offer for the 27-year-old because they want a seven-figure worth £2.1million.

It is understood that Wolves are hoping to sign the Dutch-born winger on an initial loan deal in the January transfer window, however to do so they must reconsider what they are willing to offer for the player.

Good move for Wolves?

It would be a bit of a shock if Wolves were to go out and sign Gyasi.

He is 27 years old but has never played in one of Europe’s top leagues, with his best experience coming in the Netherlands.

The former Twente and Roda JC winger did not manage too many appearances in the Eredivise and has since played in Norway and now Bulgaria.

Can he make it in the Premier League? Absolutely no chance. He only has five caps for Ghana and since joining CSKA Sofia in February he has hardly stood out for them.

Likely to happen?

Wolves would be wasting money if they were to sign Gyasi, especially if they were to meet CSKA Sofia’s asking price of £2.1million, so it is fair to say that this move probably won’t happen.

Nuno Espirito Santo already has plenty of quality wingers and Gyasi probably isn’t even as good as what he has in the youth team.
