A section of Wolves fans have been raging on Twitter after it was reported that West Brom are close to signing former Molineux star Bakary Sako.
According to freelance journalist Tim Nash, formerly of the Express & Star, on his personal Twitter account, the 30-year-old free agent has already completed a medical with the Baggies and is on the verge of signing for them.
Ex- @Wolves winger @sakobakary26 looks set to be announced as @WBA's latest signing. Sako, 30, underwent a medical at Albion earlier this week. A free agent, he turned down a new deal at @CPFC after his contract ended there this summer and has moved back to the West Midlands.

Some Wolves fans simply cannot cope with the fact that their bitter rivals are signing Sako, with one calling him “Judas”.

OPINION
Sako was a very good player for Wolves but never quite reached those heights in the Premier League with Crystal Palace. He is now returning to the West Midlands to join West Brom and these fans seem quite bitter about that. It is fair enough and this reaction was expected, but there is no such thing as loyalty these days. In recent years, Joleon Lescott and Kieth Andrews have both joined the Baggies despite starting their careers at Molineux, so it is not like it is something new. Will Sako be a hit at The Hawthorns? All the signs suggest he will be as long as he stays fit as injuries have ravaged his time at Selhurst Park. Darren Moore will have a tough time working him into his attack though and Sako may have to make do with a role as a squad player for the time-being. That’ll hurt Wolves fans even more.
No. I refuse to believe this bit of transfer news.
