Steven Gerrard has announced his starting XI for Sunday’s Premiership game against Livingston, and some fans are questioning why Nikola Katic has been dropped.
Joe Worrall makes his Premiership debut instead and partners Connor Goldson in the heart of the defence.
Celtic leapfrogged Rangers with a win against Aberdeen yesterday, but Gerrard’s men can move up to second place in the league with a win today.
The team news was announced on the official Rangers Twitter page on Sunday ahead of the 1.30pm kick-off.

Kyle Lafferty and Alfredo Morelos play, and with Daniel Candeias out wide, we can see goals in this game for Gerrard’s men.
However, some fans have flocked onto Twitter to ask why Katic had been dropped, with one fan saying he’d been “every bit” as good as Goldson.
However, one fan said it made sense and that with rotation all three centre-backs would play two out of three games.

Worrall starting ahead of Katic again. Katic now pushed out to 3rd choice centre half?

You seeing that as the normal formation with Lafferty on the left? Seems slightly odd to play both strikers and not go 3-5-2 by using Katic

Maybe a surprise Katic dropped/rested but a strong heart to the midfield and Lafferty off the left it seems.

OPINION
Joe Worrall finally gets his chance to show what he can do in the Premiership after being restricted to just two games so far, in the cup and the Europa League. Katic makes way for him and we’d imagine that this is more a rotation/formation decision than it is a reflection on Katic, who’s been great this season. Goldson is the rock at the heart of the Rangers defence though and it will be interesting to see how he plays alongside Worrall, who arrived with a big reputation from Nottingham Forest.
