A number of Rangers fans have been left in awe on social media at the performance of midfielder Scott Arfield after helping his side to a win over St Johnstone on Sunday afternoon.
The Light Blues ran out comfortable winners at Ibrox just three days after holding Villareal to a draw in Spain during their Europa League campaign, with James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos netting before the Canadian international fired home their third.

Opinion
This was without a doubt one of Rangers’ best performances of the season and Arfield played his role to perfection – hence the rave reviews rolling in from social media. His ability to dictate the tempo of the game is so important to the way that Steven Gerrard wants his side to play, and he has the vision and the technique to launch a defence splitting pass if need be. However, credit must go to the way that the manager had set things up in the middle, with the likes of Lassana Coulibaly, Ross McCrorie and then Graeme Dorrans from the bench all interchanging nicely with their own individual abilities. It allowed Arfield to play at his best, without being worried about his teammates letting him down in their ball winning duties, and he showed the ability to be in the right place at the right time to score the third goal of the game.
