A selection of Rangers fans were left fuming with the performance of defender Nikola Katic after his performance at the back in the club’s home win over St Johnstone on Sunday.
The Gers blitzed past their Premiership opposition thanks to goals from five different players, while a consolation goal for the visitors, netted from the penalty spot after Scott Arfield’s foul in the box, was a rare blot in the Light Blues’ copy book.
However, things might have gone differently had Katic’s second half error, where his poor ball resulted in St Johnstone narrowly missing the goal, and fans were not impressed with what they saw from the 6’3″ (source: Transfermarkt) giant on Twitter.
This is FutbolĀ has gathered a selection of the supporters’ tweets:

Opinion
Katic might have had a bit of a blip in his performance against St Johnstone but to say he had a shocker for the full 90 minutes is a massive overstatement, for he was crucial to ensuring that him and his teammates kept the visitors at bay. The Rangers fans are known for their passion and perhaps it was their desire to put in the perfect performance which caused them to slate his display but quite frankly, there was hardly a bad performance on the Ibrox pitch from a man wearing blue. From top to bottom, they all put in top class displays and the result reflects that entirely, while St Johnstone probably did deserve to net at least once – as was the case – for their efforts in trying to break down the Gers at home. This will be a huge confidence boost, especially after having been in European action just three days ago, and Steven Gerrard can have great pride in what he is achieving in Glasgow.
