As far as the success of newly-promoted Premier League teams go, Wolverhampton Wanderers are definitely up there with the best after their promising return.

With two draws, one loss and one win under their belts, they are certainly the team to watch this season, especially after their exploits in their clash with Manchester City recently.

However, there is one player who has not featured in the starting line up in any of those clashes, and that player is Adama Traore, who has only come on as a substitute in three of the opening games.

Injury is the reason that such a talent has not made his first start for the club yet, but his match-winning goal against a struggling West Ham United team last weekend surely puts him in contention to make his full Wolves’ debut.

His blistering pace is what helped him net that excellent individual effort, but it must be noted that he is much more than a speed machine.

That goal went to prove that he is also a game changer, as he clearly has the capabilities to turn a match on its head at a moment’s notice.

Towards the end of that game with the Hammers, it looked like Wolves were heading for a 0-0 draw – but up pops the speedster in stoppage time to claim all three points.

It is questionable whether the 22-year-old is as effective from the start as he is as a substitute, but boss Nuno Espirito Santo will never know the answer to that question if he does not take that risk.

However, if he is one bit as influential as he is from the bench, then many fans will argue why Nuno did not use him a lot earlier.

Traore is a game changer purely because by the time he is brought on, the opponents have tired legs and are unable to keep up with his lightning pace.

Nuno must take the plunge and reward the winger’s recent efforts by handing him a first team place from now on.
