West Ham fans have been handed the dream news that the club are confident that Marko Arnautovic will be leading the line when the Hammers play host to Manchester United this weekend after his injury layoff, according to Claret and Hugh.

The reliable Irons news source, with strong connections to those at the London Stadium, claim that he is back in training after being sidelined last week, which forced him to miss the Chelsea clash after a late fitness test, and that he is playing without any pain now.

The news will be music to the ears of the West Ham faithful, who will desperately be wanting the Austrian to take back his place in the starting XI after Michail Antonio filled in versus the Blues.

Opinion

Having Arnautovic back against United will be a massive boost to Manuel Pellegrini, the rest of the squad and the fans who will be cheering on their side at the London Stadium this weekend. His presence up top, using his powerful frame and surprising pace for a man of his height, will strike fear into the hearts of the visitors’ defence, much more so than Michail Antonio would. It seems as though he was close for the Chelsea game and decided against taking the gamble, so he should be fully fit and raring to go when Jose Mourinho and his men head to east London. The Red Devils are looking fragile right now, with problems on and off the pitch, and so facing the top flight giants now could be perfect for the Irons after they took their time getting going. Having Arnautovic leading the charge will make victory a real possibility, and take their unbeaten run to three league games.
