Harry Kane hasn’t been at his best since the start of the season and fans are worried that he needs a rest over the international break.
Some are going even further and saying that Mauricio Pochettino should withdraw him from the squad.
It looked like Kane might have shaken off a heavy summer in Russia after breaking his August hoodoo and scoring in consecutive games against Fulham and Man United.
Tottenham won both of those games but then lost to Watford and the general feeling is that Kane is nowhere near as sharp as he was when he was scoring at will last season.
The Premier League is now on an international break with England set to play Spain on Saturday in a UEFA Nations League match and Switzerland in a friendly next Tuesday, and Tottenham fans are desperate for Kane to be rested – for one at least, but ideally both matches.
Tottenham have a crunch game against Liverpool a week on Saturday and are desperate for their talisman to be 100% for one of their defining games of the season.

We remember watching Kane last season and at times it seemed like he really could score when he wants, as the famous football song goes. He made the game look effortless and seemed to have more time than any other player on the pitch. It wasn’t like that in Russia for England at the World Cup finals and it hasn’t been the same so far for Tottenham this season. Kane is an elite striker, he’s proved that already, but he never seems to know when his body needs a rest. He was quizzed about his fitness over the summer and he insisted he was fine. He’ll say the same ahead of these England internationals. He just wants to play, which is admirable, but it doesn’t seem to work in terms of getting the best from him. That means we’re in agreement with the Tottenham fans who want him pulled from the national squad. Kane had no pre-season and no real rest before the start of the season. These England games are meaningless, and for the sake of Spurs and England, we want the real Harry Kane back.
