Tottenham Hotspur travel to the San Siro to take on Inter Milan in their Champions League opener on Tuesday, and Mauricio Pochettino is expected to make four changes to his starting lineup.

Spurs are coming into the match on the back of two consecutive league defeats, and Pochettino has made the surprise decision to leave both Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld at home for ‘technical’ reasons.

This means that there will likely be changes made in both defence and attack for Spurs as they look to open their European campaign positively, with Pochettino expected to make four key changes.

In goal, Michel Vorm is expected to retain his place despite his poor performance at the weekend against Liverpool.

In front of him, a back four of Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen and Ben Davies is likely to line up, with Trippier, Alderweireld and Danny Rose all dropping out of the side. Aurier, 25, has been rarely-seen this season, making just one start and two appearances in total as Trippier has made the right-back spot his own.

A holding midfield duo of Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele are expected to be chosen, with both keeping their places from Saturday.

In attack, Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela are both expected to start, with Harry Winks dropping out for the Argentine, while Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane are likely to retain their places alongside them.
