Newcastle United played out a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon, and many fans have slammed mainstay Ayoze Perez for his performance.
Palace were the better side on the day but failed to break the Magpies down, with Mamadou Sakho missing an absolute sitter of a header in the last ten minutes.
Many Magpies fans have now taken to Twitter to react to Perez’s display, with the vast majority ripping into the Spaniard for another lacklustre outing.
This is Futbol have rounded up some of the best tweets:

Why is it that Kenedy has a couple of poor games and everyone is all over him. Yet Ayoze has 4 dreadful seasons and he remains a little golden boy cus he once did a nice flick. ? #NUFC

Still struggling for any fluidity in attack. Nothing coming from the flanks and ayoze being ayoze. #NUFC

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, give Ayoze Perez time to think and he'll give the ball away.

Rafa bemused with Perez’s shenanigans. I’m a bit embarrassed myself to be honest. #nufc

OPINION
These Newcastle fans seem pretty furious with Perez for his display against Crystal Palace, and it is easy to see why. The Spanish forward was poor yet again for the Magpies as he failed to make any kind of impact on the game. His touch was poor, his passing was inaccurate, his shooting was ineffective and his hold-up play was non-existent. Worst of all were his attempts to deceive the referee, with the forward rolling around on the floor several times after a challenge from a Palace defender. As pointed out by many fans here, play acting is not something that supporters want to see, and it looks like many are losing their patience with the Spaniard. He has been poor all season and has shown nothing to suggest he is good enough to start for the club in the Premier League. A lack of other options may be forcing Benitez’s hand, but there are surely some better alternatives available in the squad after another poor display.
