Simon Mignolet will be recalled to the Liverpool starting XI for their League Cup clash against Chelsea on Wednesday night, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.
The Anfield manager revealed at his lunchtime media conference on Tuesday, as quoted by Goal correspondent Neil Jones, that the Belgium goalkeeper will be in the starting XI for the Anfield midweek showdown.

Mignolet has yet to play for Liverpool this season following the summer signing of Alisson from Roma.

Mignolet is further off than ever from a return to Liverpool’s best XI but the League Cup throws up an opportunity for the goalkeeper to get some much-needed game time following what has been a personally frustrating start to the campaign.
