Leicester City have the power to break West Bromwich Albion hearts by opting to recall Harvey Barnes in January.

The Premier League side sent the 20-year-old midfielder on loan to the Baggies for the season but according to the Birmingham Mail there is a clause in the agreement which gives them the option to recall Barnes at the start of the year.

If the Foxes opt to trigger that clause than it will be a painful experience for Baggies supporters and a blow for Darren Moore as the midfielder has taken to life at the Hawthorns like a duck to water.

Barnes has scored two goals, while registering one, in his eight appearances for the club and already looks like being a vital member of Moore’s side as he tries to lead his team to promotion.

Aside from delivering the goods in front of goal, the 20-year-old has forced his way into supporters hearts due to his overall performances.

Barnes is an exciting player to watch as he regularly utilises his bag of tricks as well as his pace to lead the charge for the Baggies and watching a talented player like him at work is a joy to behold for supporters.

Also the promising talent doesn’t shy away from getting his hands dirty as he has on more than one occasion got stuck in an attempted to win the ball for his side.

The only reassuring factor that could ease Baggies minds ahead of January in regards to Barnes is that The Foxes are doing well this season.

Claude Puel’s side have picked up six points from their first four league games and looked impressive against Manchester United as well as Liverpool despite being handed defeats by the two Premier League giants.

This means that the Foxes manager may not risk changing a successful formula in order to implement Barnes into his plans for the second-half of the season, meaning the Premier League club may avoid recalling him despite him impressing in his outing.

However the fact remains that Barnes is starting to become a fan favourite at the Baggies due to his continued excellent performances and fans could have their hearts shattered if his parent club recall him before the season ends.
