beIN SPORTS  pundit Andy Gray has destroyed Everton duo Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse following the team’s 3-1 loss to West Ham United on Sunday.

The Toffees were subjected to a defeat thanks to a brace from Andriy Yarmolenko and Marko Arnautovic, but Gray has laid into two Everton players in particular following this clash.

He believes that the attacking pair of Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse are not good enough for a team in the top half of the Premier League like Everton as they are not up to that level.

“There’s a lot of players that they have got that are out of the side. What he needs to do is get them all fit. What my problem will be is I didn’t see it today. I didn’t see Tosun being good enough. We saw Oumar Niasse not good enough at this level,” he told beIN SPORTS.

“When I say this level, I mean the top half of the Premier League. Those boys are not good enough.”

OPINION

Gray is spot on in his criticism of Tosun and Niasse – they definitely were not good enough on Sunday, and were most certainly not at the level needed for a team like Everton, who are capable of finishing in the top half of the table. With Richarlison serving the last game of his ban, the Toffees were heavily exposed going forward, and the poor showings from this duo has only gone to reinforce that. They lack the presence of a top-quality striker in their side, and this is an issue that they must address in January. Boss Marco Silva cannot continue to play a forward like Tosun if he is not delivering the goods, and the same applies to Niasse too. Every time there is an injury or suspension, Everton’s lack of firepower will be made glaringly obvious. They cannot rely on Richarlison to be scoring their goals, no matter how good he may be.c
