A section of Leeds United fans have been raging on Twitter after it was confirmed that Patrick Bamford will be out of action for four months with a knee injury.
The Yorkshire giants announced on their official website on Tuesday that Bamford, 25, suffered a PCL injury in an Under-23s game against Bristol City last week.
And some fans are not happy with the decision to play him in that reserve game, while others are just gutted over the fact that he will be sidelined for such a long period of time.

OPINION
You can understand why some of the Leeds fans would be angry that Bamford picked up an injury in an Under-23s game, but they must realise that these kind of injuries can happen anywhere and anytime. If he didn’t get injured against Bristol City’s Under-23s, then maybe he could have done in training, in the match with Millwall this weekend or walking his dog. Injuries are a risk in football and Bamford would not have played in that game if he didn’t need to because he could definitely do with the extra match fitness having failed to start a single league game so far this season. Bamford has had a history of injuries in his career and that would have been known about when he was signed from Middlesbrough in the summer. Unfortunately, he will not be back in action until 2019 now and that is certainly bad news for the Whites after such a strong start to their campaign.
