Wolves must brace themselves for the inevitable exits of their best players in January with Juventus already reported to be pursuing two of Molineux’s stars.

According to the Mirror, Juve are in the hunt to sign Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota while Manchester United and Manchester City have also been hot on the heels of midfield playmaker Neves, who has started his Premier League campaign in fine form.

Juventus signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in the summer so already have a good contact with super-agent Jorge Mendes, who also serves as the representative of Neves and Jota.

With the two Portuguese aces originally arriving at Wolves while they were in the Championship, it was inevitable that they could eventually attract the attention of the big boys in Europe and Mendes, who is always looking for a deal, is likely to want to force a move that would see Neves and Jota combine with Ronaldo in Serie A.

It would be exciting to see from a neutral perspective, but for Wolves, the chances of this happening are seemingly growing and that would be a shattering blow to all the progress that they have made over the last 12 months.

However it was always going to happen.

The West Midlands club is a dwarf in comparison to these giants who are being linked with their players and it is more than likely that they will have to find replacements for them next summer, if not sooner.
