It was a disappointing afternoon for Leeds at Elland Road today, as their unbeaten league record fell to former manager Garry Monk’s Birmingham.
They lost 2-1 after going two goals behind, with Ezgjan Alioski’s goal late on giving them a glimmer of hope.
However, it was Leeds’ worst performance of the season and many fans think that only young striker Tyler Roberts came out of the match with any credit.
He didn’t score to add to his brace against Preston last Tuesday, but fans liked what they saw from the 19-year-old, especially in the first 45 minutes.
Here are the best reactions from Leeds fans to Roberts today:
One positive from that half: despite the lack of goals that was, in my opinion, by far Tyler Roberts’ best 45 minutes for #lufc

Only Tyler Roberts can take any credit out of that half #lufc

Ty Roberts has combined quite well today. Good to see his confidence up, being more involved in general play etc. #lufc

Conceded 2 poor goals there, we need to speed up our attacks. Tyler Roberts the only stand out player for me, fought well, made runs & played the ball out well. Got to sort this out 2nd half #LUFC #MOT #ALAW

Leeds 0-2 Birmingham HT:
Poor first half hour from the hosts. Phillips was hooked after 34 minutes, but the entire midfield and full-backs haven't been good enough. Roberts is working hard. We're yet to register a shot on-target. Credit to Birmingham who have pressed well. #LUFC

OPINION
It was a worrying performance from Leeds. Manager Marcelo Bielsa came out after the game and took the blame for the defeat, deflecting from some very poor individual displays at Elland Road. he claimed that he got the formation wrong – something he tried to address when he took Kalvin Phillips off in the first half. That wasn’t enough to disrupt a confident performance from Birmingham, and it seems that when the Leeds players are off it, there’s plenty for the opposition to go at. Tyler Roberts looked good in the first-half but he petered out in the second half and never really looked like scoring. One good thing to take from the day is that Leeds are still top of the league, but only on goal difference after Middlesbrough drew 0-0 with Swansea. Next up for Leeds is Sheffield Wednesday, in front of the Sky cameras on Friday night. Fans will be hoping for a reaction after a very disappointing display today.Â
