Leeds United need to make only one change to their starting XI to rip Birmingham City to shreds for tomorrow’s (Saturday) Championship showdown.

United are flying high at the the top of the league after pilfering 18 points out of a possible 24, while their former boss Garry Monk comes to Elland Road with a side struggling in 20th.

Leeds brushed aside another under-par team in midweek, when they convincingly beat Preston North End 3-0 without Pablo Hernandez, Kemar Roofe, Gaetano Berardi and long-term absentee Patrick Bamford.

It will be the same again tomorrow, which means Marcelo Bielsa needs to meek only a tweak, rather than wholesale changes to his line-up.

Leeds must hand Adam Forshaw his first start of the season after an impressive late cameo in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Millwall.

Forshaw, who signed for £4.5million in January (source: Daily Mail), will be a key player for Leeds in their promotion challenge and should provide extra composure and class in the centre of the pitch.

It would mean one player making way and that should be Ezgjan Alioski, who has been off form in the last three matches and is driving supporters up the wall with his lack of understanding of the off-side law.

The Macedonia international has been caught offside on 13 occasions this season, more than any other player in the Championship.

The 26-year-old looks like he needs a rest, which opens the door for Forshaw to return in the middle of the park and for a change to a 4-3-3 formation.

It would Samuel Saiz pulling out to the left flank and handing Mateusz Klich, who is a massive goal threat with his driving runs through the centre, a more forward role.

The remainder of the side should remain the same as Leeds look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
