Ariyibi must be pushed towards exit at Forest

Nottingham Forest’s transfer business this summer has been rather successful, and boss Aitor Karanka will be hoping that will translate onto the pitch as he bids to guide his team to promotion.

However, there is a player that will not be playing a part in this promotion charge, and that player is Gboly Ariyibi, who operates as a winger.

The rarely-seen attacker is considered a forgotten man at Forest, but for some reason, the club have not yet offloaded him on a permanent basis despite his bad form.

He has a tendency to injury, and the Reds must push him towards the exit as he is just an accident waiting to happen.

They keep sendingĀ  the 23-year-old out on loan, but seeming as he does not offer any sort of positive contribution towards the club, then they need to be rid of him.

He obviously does not feature in the manager’s plans this season – or any season for that matter – so it makes sense to cash in on him.

Whether he will attract many suitors is questionable, as not many clubs would be willing to risk taking on a player who is injured a lot and cannot perform consistently.

With his first team chances at the City Ground out of the window, Forest must make the logical decision sooner rather than later.

The influx of talent at the club has all but sealed the American’s fate, as the club’ progress seems to be leaving him lagging behind.

Karanka has already proved that he is capable of making excellent transfer decisions, and he must make another one imminently.

Ariyibi should be first in the queue for a departure, and Forest will undoubtedly have their fingers crossed that a club submits their interest soon.

If they do not, then they could be stuck with him longer than they would have planned, and they would have to wait until the next window to see if they could part ways with him.

This would not be an ideal scenario – and this means that Forest must force him towards the exit.
