Some Nottingham Forest supporters on social media heaped praise on winger Joe Lolley for his display during their side’s 3-1 over Newcastle United.
The 26-year-old may have only played 58th minutes of Forest’s League Cup fixture against the Premier League side but he did enough to have fans drooling over his ability.
One Forest supporter tweeted that Lolley made the Magpies looked silly while another claimed that he was Forest’s best player by a country mile.

OPINION
Nottingham Forest fans were rightly drooling over Lolley’s latest display as he easily weaved between the Magpies’ midfield and seemed to know how to make their defence sweat as well. Rafa Benitez will be having reoccurring nightmares over the thought of his side coming against Lolley anytime soon as they had no answer for him. As one fan rightly tweeted the 26-year-old should be the first name on the teamsheet as far as Forest are concerned. The Championship outfit seem lucky to have him as even if his teammates disappoint he always steps up. However while Lolley is rightly dripping in plaudits following his performance, it’s a shame that he limped off the pitch in the 58th minute of the game. If Forest are set to be without the winger for a few games than he will be a noticeable absentee. So hopefully for the sake of him as well as his team, Lolley will be right as reign as soon as possible.
