A section of Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight after midfielder Matty Cash’s performance against Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
Forest drew 2-2 with Wigan in yesterday’s Championship clash, coming from behind with two goals coming from Cash and Hillal Soudani, who equalised in stoppage time.
The Reds’ mainstay netted after going on the counter attack just eight minutes after Nick Powell headed the Latics in front.

OPINION
These supporters are clearly big fans of Matty Cash, especially after his performance yesterday afternoon at Wigan. He got Forest back on equal terms with his goal in the tenth minute, and he will be a key figure for the team as they look to make a huge improvement on their showing last year. The majority of them believe that he was man of the match, and it is easy to see why – for such a young player, Cash displayed the quality of someone far beyond his years on Saturday. The fans will undoubtedly have their fingers crossed that he can maintain this type of form for the rest of the campaign, with one tweeting that Forest “will be going places” if he “rubs off on the rest of the squad.” They have a fantastic chance of making the play-offs this season – and Cash will surely have a massive impact on that.
