West Brom have signed Manchester City’s Tosin Adarabioyo on loan, with the Baggies supporters pleased with the arrival of the defender.

Born in Manchester, Adarabioyo is the third defender to be recruited by Albion this summer, joining Kyle Bartley and Conor Townsend at The Hawthorns.

The news was announced on the official West Brom website on Friday afternoon as the 20-year-old loanee looks to develop his game by gaining first-team experience, who played just four games for the Premier League champions last term.

OPINION

West Brom have secured a promising prospect in Adarabioyo and Man City must be keen to maintain the services of the defender after only shipping him out on a loan deal. After the departures of Jonny Evans and Gareth McAuley in the transfer window, it was vital that the Baggies could bring in a centre-back that is capable of guiding the club back into the top flight at the first attempt. The 20-year-old lacks experience and West Brom is an ideal club where he has the potential to develop and make a strong name for himself with regular minutes under his belt at the Championship club. He is fast, strong in the air, and has the quality to look forward behind the line for the next pass and seems to have a definite future with the Man City first team with manager Pep Guardiola an admirer of the youngster.
