West Brom have tabled a “new” bid for Blackburn Rovers star Bradley Dack as the transfer deadline looms, according to Sun reporter Alan Nixon.

The reliable journalist claimed on his personal Twitter account on Friday, just hours before the 5pm loan deadline for EFL clubs, that the Baggies have made a renewed approach for the 24-year-old midfielder.

However it is understood it would be a shock for Tony Mowbray to accept his former club’s bid at this stage of the transfer window, with Dack in the form of his life at Ewood Park.

Good move for West Brom?

Dack would be a sensational signing for the Baggies after they offloaded Nacer Chadli to Monaco on Thursday.

Darren Moore is really lacking a midfielder with a cutting edge and the former Gillingham man would be able to transform the club into a serious title contender if he was signed.

He has already scored four goals and supplied three assists in four appearances this season, while last term he helped Blackburn win promotion from League One with 18 goals and 11 assists in 45 total outings.

Dack is a seriously talented attacking midfielder and West Brom should move mountains to try and pry him away from Ewood Park.

Likely to happen?

Why have West Brom waited until now to made this bid?

Blackburn will have just hours to try and replace the midfielder and there is no way that Mowbray is going to consider putting himself in a situation where he loses his best player and not being able to replacement.

Albion’s business lately has been laughable.
