Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that they have secured the signing of a trio of young defensive players on Thursday’s deadline day.
Last season’s Championship winners revealed the capture of Max Kilman, Alexander Molberg and James Pardington on their official website, with the left back, centre back and goalkeeper joining the under-23 side from Maidenhead United, Hobro IK and Aldwych United respectively.
The Molineux outfit confirmed that the full back has penned a permanent two-year deal from the National League side, while Molberg and Pardington have arrived on loan until January and the end of the season respectively.

Wolves have enjoyed one of the most exciting transfer windows among the Premier League clubs this season, so the arrival of three young talents for the under-23 side might go under the radar somewhat. However, it is good to see that despite their heavy spending on the first team they are always looking at improving their youth system and bringing in players who might have a chance of becoming a senior star one day. What strikes these moves as odd is that it is a six-month loan for the Dane, and a season-long temporary switch for the shot stopper. Are Wolves simply wanting to run the rule over them for an extended period of time, or do they feel the need for some back up for the first team? They do not elaborate, but it could be that this is something of a trial for the pair, with Nuno and his coaching staff judging whether to make them permanent members of the squad in the future.
