Wolves have given a trial to 19-year-old Danish centre-back Alexander Molberg, according to local journalist Tim Spiers.
The game was a behind-closed-doors friendly against Premier League Burnley and Wolves came out on top, winning 3-1.
Molberg plays in the top-flight in Denmark for Hobro IK and has won four caps for the Denmark Under-19s. He’s only been at the club a month after arriving from Odense on a free transfer.

OPINION
Wolves are looking to the future as well as making sure their first-team is equipped to deal with the Premier League. The 6ft 2in Danish enforcer is well thought of in Denmark but this would be a huge move for a player who’s only made appearances for the reserves and Under-19s up to this point. Eagle-eyed and clued-up Wolves fans will also have seen another name they won’t recognise on the team sheet from the side that won 3-1 today – Langania. We’re not sure who he is but it might well be another young trialist. The 3-1 win today against Burnley won’t have done Molberg any harm and he’ll be hoping he’s done enough to secure a late move to a team who’s aiming to go places next season. It’s a big step up for Wolves from the Championship, but they’ve bought quality players this summer and fans are expecting them to be challenging in the top-half of the table. Molberg would love to be a part of that and prove that he’s got enough to be noticed by Nuno and make a play for the first-team.
