Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed an uncharacteristically good start to the Premier League season with two wins from their first two games, but things are set to get much tougher when they travel to Old Trafford on Monday night.

A 2-1 opening day win against Newcastle was followed by a 3-1 victory over Fulham at Wembley last weekend, with Tottenham getting off to the best start possible despite a summer in which they signed no players.

A tough test awaits for Mauricio Pochettino’s men in their third game with Manchester United looking to bounce back from a shock 3-1 loss to Brighton last time out.

The Argentine will have to get his team spot on if Spurs are to secure a rare win at Old Trafford, something which they have not managed since 2014, and that involves making one change to the side that beat Fulham.

In goal, Pochettino must give Hugo Lloris the chance to redeem himself after his midweek arrest for drink driving.

In defence, the back three of Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen must remain the same, with that trio representing one of the best in Europe.

The wing-back pairing of Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies must also remain in place, while a central midfield of enforcers Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele should provide the steel needed in that area, with Lucas Moura unfortunately seeing the axe despite his heroic goalscoring exploits last week.

That leaves an attacking trio of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane, with Moura in reserve to come on and stretch the United defence in the second half.
