Danny Murphy has said that Leicester City defender Harry Maguire must ‘push’ for his mega money move to Manchester United.
The England World Cup star has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks, and former Liverpool midfielder Murphy believes he should try and force the transfer through.
"You have got to try and make it happen."

“I think the lad would be crazy not to try and make it happen,” he told talkSPORT. “You’ve got to try and make it happen, you might never get the opportunity to sign for Man United.
“Sometimes you have to push. I’m not saying he should conduct himself badly or be an idiot in trying to move. You have to be forthright with what you want in life sometimes, and the only way you get what you want at times is by verbalising it in a mature way.”
OPINION
However much Leicester fans might be screaming at Murphy to shut up, the man has a point. No one is saying Maguire should hand in a transfer request or refuse to play for the club, but he needs to do everything he can to get his big move. Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in world football, and Maguire deserves to be playing on the biggest stage possible for the most money possible. With all due respect to Leicester, no one is going to want to stay at the King Power Stadium when a switch to Old Trafford is on the table. All Maguire need do is communicate his feelings to the club’s hierarchy and see what happens from there. If no move materialises then he can continue his time at Leicester, it’s clearly doing no harm to his England career. But this is a once in a lifetime sort of move, at a time when the 25-year-old’s stock has never been higher, and he should be doing everything he (respectfully) can to secure it.
